UN Urges Africa To Build SMEs Capacity
UN Assistant Secretary General, AHUNNA EZIAKONWA has called on African countries to build the capacities of the Small and Medium enterprises to achieve inclusive growth.
Ms. EZIAKONWA says Africa has a number of lucrative sectors among them is carbon trading but the lack of capacity in SMEs is hindering many countries from generating wealth.
She says Africa should certify and put value on carbon trading as it is lossing monies.
Ms EZIAKONWA, who is also UNDP Africa Regional Director said this when she called on the Bank of Zambia Governor DENNY KALYALYA at his Office.
And Dr. KALYALYA said there is need for increased sensitization on carbon trading as many people in the country do not understand the sector well.
