Internet Accessibility A Must For All Schools In N/Western-Katambi
North Western Province Permanent Secretary Colonel GRANDSON KATAMBI says government is committed to making Information Communication Technology – ICT accessible in all schools across the province.
Colonel KATAMBI says government realizes the importance of ICTs in the education sector and wants to connect all schools in the province to internet through strategic partnerships with the private sector.
Speaking during the handover of computers by Kansanshi Mining PLC and the connection of internet by Liquid Intelligent Technologies in Sowezi, Colonel KATAMBI says the donation of computers will help pupils have practical knowledge of ICT.
And, North Western Provincial Education Officer FREDRICK MUNKINI revealed that 22 ICT teachers were deployed in the last teacher recruitment exercise.
Meanwhile, Kansanshi Mining PLC Corporate Affairs Manager KYANSENGA CHITOSHI says the mine will spend One hundred thousand United States dollars to buy computers for eight schools across the district.
